Game Review
Eintracht Frankfurt delivered a commanding performance in the Bundesliga, securing a 3-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. The result was a testament to Frankfurt's growing momentum, as they continue to climb the league table with confidence. The match began with Frankfurt asserting their dominance early on. Nathaniel Brown (GAP +3.3%) opened the scoring in the 24th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. His goal was a result of a well-executed team move that left Mönchengladbach's defense scrambling. Despite efforts from the visitors to regain control, Frankfurt's defense, marshaled by Robin Koch (GAP +3.7%), remained resolute. The second half saw Frankfurt continue to press their advantage. Ansgar Knauff, who came on as a substitute, made an immediate impact by scoring in the 75th minute, effectively sealing the victory for the home side. This goal highlighted the depth and versatility of Frankfurt's squad, as they managed to maintain their intensity throughout the match. Tactically, Frankfurt's manager made no changes to the starting lineup from their previous match, indicating a strong belief in the current squad's form and cohesion. In contrast, Mönchengladbach's head coach opted for a few adjustments, bringing in players like Hugo Bolin, Shuto Machino, and Joe Scally during the match to try and shift the dynamics, but to no avail. Key performances from players like Rasmus Kristensen (GAP +3.9%) and Hugo Larsson (GAP +3.0%) were instrumental in Frankfurt's midfield dominance, providing both defensive stability and creative outlets. Meanwhile, Mönchengladbach struggled to find their rhythm, with Kevin Stöger (GAP -3.3%) unable to influence the game as expected. This victory propels Eintracht Frankfurt further up the Bundesliga standings, enhancing their prospects for European qualification. For Borussia Mönchengladbach, the defeat underscores the need for tactical reassessment as they aim to recover from this setback and improve their league position.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
